The surge in electricity demand marks a defining moment for the global energy transition. Governments and businesses face a choice: to meet growing demand with outdated technologies, or to capitalize on this opportunity to invest in clean energy solutions that are better, cheaper, and faster to deploy. The decisions made today will shape economic competitiveness, global prosperity, and energy security for decades to come.
Developing pragmatic, scalable solutions
Constructive partnered with the WRI Polsky Energy Center to design and facilitate a “solutions summit” to meet this moment. Over one day, 135 participants joined six “solutions groups” to identify common challenges and blind spots, share innovative strategies, and develop practical pathways to a secure, clean energy future.
Participants surfaced concrete recommendations across industrial heat, clean energy finance, grid transformation, critical minerals, and data center infrastructure. Practical solutions focused on aligning demand with investment, driving down costs and increasing adoption of frontier technologies, unlocking flexibility in power systems, and improving regulatory and market frameworks to support faster deployment.
