From fuel to electric technology

A growing set of electric technologies, including solar, wind, batteries, heat pumps, electric vehicles, grid technologies, and the software that connects them, is changing how the world produces and uses energy. Together, these "electrotech" solutions make energy something we manufacture rather than extract. The result is an energy system that is cheaper, more flexible, more secure, and faster to deploy. Yet adoption remains uneven. In many markets, electrification has stalled and fossil fuel use is flat or still rising. Energy After Fire was formed to help close that gap.

Aligning diverse sectors around electrotech deployment

Energy After Fire brings together leaders from energy, policy, finance, climate, defense, and academia. They work from different vantage points toward a common goal: accelerating the adoption of electrotech. The program launched at London Climate Action Week with an inaugural summit that convened 150 participants to establish a common fact base on where electrotech stands globally and set out a shared vision for accelerating adoption. A second event at Climate Week NYC explored the intersection of electrotech, digitalization, and national security in more detail. Future convenings will build an effective coalition that can align capital, policy, and partnerships for deployment.
